Job title:field service technicianjob :carry out verbal and/ or written work orders and instructions from supervisor or peers.follow installation standards and practices while meeting service deadlines.work with tools, equipment and cable that may be heavy which have to be loaded and unloaded from vehicle, moved or re-arranged.keep accurate records (e.g., time reporting, network records/charts and installation logs)perform time reporting and repetitive tasks daily.review and analyses complex schematic drawings to determine work to be done, methods and sequence of tasks, communicate discrepancies to supervisors.splice pairs of color-coded conductors together by hand, splicing tool or machine, rearranging and reconnecting cable facilities. work with fiber conductors using sensitive equipment.use various test equipment, perform cable pair loss tests and record results.install, re-arrange, repair and remove communication facilities.comply with hazardous waste restrictions.be available to work in shifts as well as weekend and /or holiday, able to reach by phone and be available for emergency callout, overtime and during odd hours. be able to work long hours.perform all assigned work in an effective and efficient manner to meet service deadlines, frequently under pressure.be able to travel to off-male’ including frequent overnight stays.be able to work without close supervision.able to work in below ground structures/openings, i.e., manholes, splice, pits, service boxes, etc...work in customer premises, high rise buildings, in basements, and sometimes wet and dirty places. work in cramped/confined areas for extended periods of time.work on job assignment that exposes technician to above normal levels of dirt, oil, grease, dust, mud and water.perform other jobs related duties as assigned by supervisors.perform inspections, maintenance and repair work on guyed, monopole and self-supporting towers and other tower systems project tasks.providing service and customer support during field visits.managing all onsite installation, repair, maintenance and test tasks.diagnosing errors or technical problems and determining proper solutions.
